I remember my first ROCKET MAN story. It appeared in My Weekly Reader, way back in the late 1950s. I don’t remember the text of the story, but the accompanying photograph showed a man, helmeted and suited, with a pair of cannisters, a harness of some sort, a rocket nozzle. I can remember whether wings or struts or stabilizing bars or other flying accessories adorned the man.
At least in this latest version, 50 years later, some wings do appear and do stand-out.
