Around 1968, I was blessed enough to attend a concert by Arlo at the BSO Hall in Boston — during the course of which Arlo sang the long, seemingly interminable Alice song. The crowd, as the saying goes, went wild. Or, perhaps, given the condition in which we arrived for the concert, we showed our preparation, for being wild. A fine time was had by all.
